Meeting Summary
The meeting was successful. Riva came through with great questions and great numbers. Thank you all for your strength in showing our opposition. The takeaway is that “Michael’s” doesn’t have answers to many of our questions. There are no local impact studies. There was no consideration for the effect on our local community. That being said, Mr. Anthony Piera did agree to do traffic studies and agreed to post the data when made available. That being said, he will still pursue zoning changes at the county level.
We learned that Leadbetter is receptive to our voice and willing to consider all of her constituents when deciding on county legislation. In those considerations, she includes business interests. We must let our interests be heard.
Please send a follow-up email to Leadbetter, describing your takeaway. She must know we disagree with placing a sports betting venue in our neighborhood.
