Hello All,
The Sports Wagering Application Committee (SWARC) made their decision. To sum; SWARC repeated what they have said since 2/9. SWARC doesn't consider zoning and non-financial public-need when awarding licenses.
Public-need was defined in another meeting. We will make an effort to locate this definition, but it seems to be financial.
The zoning decision comes down to Anne Arundel County. I'm encouraged that we were heard, and acknowledged. Our email and telephone efforts are not empty. Please continue communicating your concerns to the emails at the end of this update.
Meeting at Mike's
"Michael's at the South River" representatives are scheduled to meet the community on February 20, at 7 pm. This will be at Mike's Crab house. We will be there, and hope to learn more of their solutions to deal with traffic, parking, and safety.
Litigation
If you are willing to be named as a plaintiff, you will help our community. Named plaintiffs can also explore other legal causes of action against Mike's. Such as, nuisance regarding parking, and congestion issues. You can contact me through facebook (Luis Ricardo), or Nextdoor (Luis da Conceicao in Lee Air Park).
