STOP premium increases on NO FAULT claims

The Issue

STOP No Fault Claims affecting premiums.

If you're a driver, you accept that if you have an accident that a claim will be made against you and your premium will go up...

if it's your fault.

However, if it isn't your fault, it can and does also affect your premium. This is a widely accepted practice among car insurance companies and when renewal comes, they can and do raise the price for a no-fault or notification only "claim".

This petition is to address this practice and have the NO FAULT or a NOTIFACTION only to be dealt with separately and not be considered when insurance companies are calculating the renewal.

Why it matters

Wit costs continuously increasing for most households, those who drive will be badly affected. Fuel and general running of a car isn't cheap and the last thing we need when a driver has been safe is a premium increase when someone else is to blame.

How you can help

Register a complaint: register a complaint with your insurance provider to get them to internally look at this practice.

Contact the FCA: the financial conduct authority regulate the industry. The more they know and complaints that they receive the more likely they will look into it.

Contact your MP: FCA rules stem in legislation. Legislation needs to be changed to protect consumers like me and you from being affected. Getting this issue discussed in parliament would be the only way to have a change in legislation and stop premium increases from no fault claims

Sign this petition: having people sign this petition will show it matters to people. With enough people behind this it may be discussed and have legislation changed to protect consumers.
