Bikram Choudhury has been accused of sexual assault by 6 different women and found guilty on charges of sexual harassment in 2016. From that trial: “Several jurors said they did not believe Choudhury’s claims of financial hardship or his other testimony during the trial, including his insistence that he had not abused women.” He is also subject of the Netflix documentary “Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator” and known for his narcissistic behavior and offensive comments towards women, people of colour and the LGBTQ community. He has no place to be teaching yoga in Vancouver.

He is trying to sell tickets to his seminar under a pseudonym “Boss” presumably due to his shameful reputation. On top of that, One of his sexual assault cases has yet to be resolved and the plaintiff lives in Vancouver. 

As a serial predator, everyone’s safety is at stake. People who aren’t exposed to social media might not even know who they are giving their money to. It is also completely inappropriate for someone who has been accused of so much pain and suffering without taking any accountability to be teaching any type of healing, health-oriented modality such as yoga. The financial, mental and physical safety of anyone who attends this event is at stake.

Choudhury is scheduled to arrive in Canada on February 18th and his Yoga Seminar is taking place from February 20th - 24th. It is time to act NOW as tickets are already on sale and unsuspecting yoga enthusiasts and vulnerable women are at risk of being exposed to this predator and his dangerous behaviour.
