Polygamy lessons for children on 16 November 2025

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (based in Utah) produced lesson material for 3 to 12 year old children on polygamy. Negative effects of teaching polygamy to children

The teaching of polygamy and the church's scripture and narratives has nothing but negative consequences on a child's mental development and future relationships, as  Illustrated in detail in this Template: Letter to Stake President about teaching material about polygamy for children

Call to action before 16 November 2025

We urge all church leaders to take all necessary measures to stop the teaching of children and youth unless it is to address their questions.

These are our demands before the lesson of 16 November 2025:

Global demands

• Removal of all educational material on the internet for children on the subject of polygamy
• Restriction of all educational material on the Internet for children on marriage to monogamous relationships only
• Removal of all official educational material on the internet for families and teachers in the Church on the subject of polygamy or the posting of an unmistakable and clearly visible notice and explanation stating that this subject should not be taught to children under the age of 16, and never without parental consent.

Local demands

• Recall of all printed teaching material per ward in each Stake under the direction of the bishop/branch president and the posting of an unmistakable and clearly visible notice and explanation, stating that this subject should not be taught to children under the age of 16 and never without parental consent.
• Reminders to adults in the wards of each Stake of the notice and explanation on the 2 Sundays before, the Sunday of, and the Sunday after this teaching material is due.
