Hello everyone, 

WE HAVE REACHED OUR GOAL OF 1K SIGNATURES!! I cannot thank you enough. Thank you so much to those who have shared, signed, and donated. 

I have some very promising news. Today, someone from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) ERT (emergency response team) reached out to me. I had a phone call where I explained the situation and provided more information. A few minutes later, they called me back and said this would be assigned to a case and that someone would be in touch with me. 

I am currently waiting on another piece of photographic evidence that would help strengthen our case; I will send out the next email to city officials early next week and by then there will be even more signatures. 

As always, change does not happen overnight. I expect implementing solutions to stop pigeon trapping will take quite some time, even if we think the solution is simple. The best thing we can do is lead the correct people into the right direction. 

I hope with the support of organizations like PETA, and the community, we can hasten the process. 

I will be in touch with more updates in the near future. For the time being, keep sharing and let's keep the signatures flowing!! If you see trapped birds, please get help from organizations such as the Chicago Bird Collision Monitors.
