Hi, I hope everyone is doing well. I would just like to say once again a massive thank you to everyone who has signed and shared this Petition and shown their support. I really hope that everyone will continue to share this petition.
I am sorry that it’s taken me awhile to make this update.
Joanne, unfortunately lost the court case. The situation currently is this Joanne is still living in the same house as before. The house is owned by her abusive ex boyfriend/ ex roommate. He can make her and the cats homeless at any moment.
Understandably she is worried about herself and the cats becoming homeless. I have been homeless and I can honestly say how difficult and traumatic it can be. I am sure you can all imagine how horrible and terrifying being homeless can be. Joanne has circumstances that would make being homeless so difficult, so difficult to the point where she would really struggle to Survive it, circumstances such as having physical health problems, having had seizures and strokes, having C-ptsd, TMI and other health issues being in her 60s, having cats to look after and it being winter now.
The house is in need of so many repairs.
The landlord is not living in the house at the moment but he can return at any point.
For the last few months Joanne has been doing everything she can to help herself, to try and get the cats adopted and to get out of that house- to live somewhere her ex won’t know where she is living, to live in a house not owned by her ex. Myself and a few other people have been doing everything we can. We all really appreciate any help that we can get. Signing this petition helps. Sharing this petition helps. If Anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
There are posts/photos of the cats all over social media- Instagram, Facebook, TIKTOK, Twitter- groups local to Joanne have been contacted. Every shelter and vet have been contacted. Endless phone calls made and emails have been sent. The cats can’t go to a kill shelter- that just isn’t an option. A lot of shelters can’t take the cats due to the fact that they can be shy- they are not bad cats they just need time and understanding to adjust to a new home. I am sure everyone can imagine the difficulties Joanne faces with getting a new place to live. We have honestly looked at the option of a mobile home and the option of a go fund me. I have an Instagram page now cutecatsforadoption.
Thank you all for taking the time to read.
