UPDATE: Submission Portal Now Open

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Wednesday, 5 August 2026

Dear Supporters,

The NSW Planning Portal is now officially open and accepting submissions on the proposed Montefiore Seniors Housing development (SSD-98363228).

You can view the project plans, read the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), and lodge your submission through the NSW Planning Portal:

Please submit your response as early as possible to avoid missing the deadline. It only takes a few minutes to make a submission, and every submission makes a difference.

Please note: Signing the petition does not constitute a formal submission. The NSW Government will only consider submissions lodged through the NSW Planning Portal.

Our community supports appropriate seniors housing. However, we have significant concerns about the scale and impacts of the current proposal, including:

• The excessive bulk and height of the proposed 5- and 8-storey buildings on College Crescent and Link Road, adjacent to Masada College.
• Increased traffic, parking pressures and flow-on impacts on College Crescent, Stanley Street, Link Road and surrounding roads.

Every individual submission matters. Each submission helps ensure our community's concerns are properly considered as part of the assessment process.

Our Community Submission Guide, which is also included in the attached flyer, provides simple step-by-step instructions to help you prepare your submission. Personal submissions, written in your own words, are the most effective.
