With October 29th less than one week away, it is a critical time to share this petition (which is accelerating towards 1000 signatures!) and reach out to Decision Makers voicing your concerns. 

I have requested of Decision Makers, specifically State Senator Julian Cyr, Senior Advisor Sarah Peake and Governor Maura Healey for collaboration to halt these offshore wind lease sales until further data collection and impact studies are completed as well as much more robust community outreach.

BOEM has acknowledged data gaps surrounding these offshore wind lease areas and that they have moved forward with what data is available, if any. The lack of data collection standards is reason enough to stop these offshore wind leases from being sold. We deserve higher standards, our ocean is at stake!

State Senator Cyr's office has acknowledged that they were informed with details of the Gulf of Maine offshore wind leases this year. This year. To my understanding this project has been in progress since 2019? This complete lack of outreach and transparency from BOEM to state officials, local and community leaders and residents is also reason enough to stop these offshore wind leases from being sold. We deserve higher standards, our ocean is at stake!
