The NDIS has decided that they want to control who the NDIS participants receive certain supports from. Many businesses are at risk of closing down due to this.

The NDIS wants to get rid of Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaches and Plan Managers to change them to a national Navigation role. This provides generalised information to participants and no guarantee of individualised support.

Participants of the NDIS and the Support Coordinators, Recovery Coaches and Plan Managers have spent YEARS building relationships of trust, and the NDIS wants to shut this down.

The NDIS claims they have spoken to the participants and that this is what they want, we beg to differ. The NDIS only spoke to 10,000 participants out of 550,000. That's not even 10%. Their lack of research is leading many participants to be at risk of losing their choice and control over who assists them with individualised care and support because the NDIS wants this control for them.

Businesses are going to close down because in order to become a Navigator they will need a tendor from the Government. However, the Government is very selective and will overlook these businesses. Most businesses that get these tendors are NGO's. This means hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of businesses will be forced to close their doors and break their relationships with their participants. And ultimately force the participants into something they do not want to do.

Support Coordination, Recovery Coaching and Plan Management needs to stay. They all provide individualised support for each and every person within the NDIS. They build rapport and trust with participants and learn what they need, how to get what they need and support them to live their lives as best as they can.

Many participants already have spoken about the fear they have about losing their Support Coordinators, Recovery Coaches and Plan Managers. Many of them have expressed they DO NOT want this change. The NDIS is ignoring this as they believe the majority agreed that Support Coordination, Recovery Coaching and Plan Management is no longer needed. How is it the majority when they only spoke to 1.82% of all NDIS participants?
