Pennant Walters ( Trecelyn Wind Farm ) Objection Stage

Hi Everyone,

I was supposed to be on the PEDW email alert list for Pennant Walters wind Farm but I have not received an email from them relating to this objection stage and I can imagen other people may also not have received emails?...

Upon checking the PEDW website today it looks like the Pennant Walters Wind Farm is also in objection stage. Note:- Along with the Cenin Solar Farm thats also in objection stage as I mentioned in Yesterdays update.

We have until 10/02/2025 to submit our objections to PEDW for the pennant Walters development.

Please quote the development reference number:- CAS-02114-J9X4S6 relating to this Pennant Walters development. You can send your objections in emails or letters.

Here is the link to the ( PEDW requirements) for your objections:-

(( Important ))
Its worth trying to stick to these requirements as close as possible. Remember to add your full name and address as we don't want PEDW to reject any objections because of lack of details or not meeting their critera. If your sending your objections by letters I recommend sending signed for or special delivery, so you have proof they arrive.

Quote Development Reference Number:-  CAS-02114-J9X4S6  for Pennant Walters Wind Farm.

Here are some of the points for objections.. some may be simular to the solar Farm objections but I have added a few more relating to the Wind Farm:-

Safety risks...The sheer size and weight of these turbines through a heavily populated areas etc..

Haulage ..No Safety assurance of haulage routes, weights of loads, Disruption to residents nearby for years, added Emissions pollution from industrial vehicles, steep gradients, narrow roads. Added Noise.

Systematic Destruction of the Welsh Mountains and countryside...

Wildlife, Biodiversity & Green Space... Ground nesting birds, buzzards etc. Flora, plant life, Peat and a huge variety of biodiversity & the importance of preserving this green space as the area is so built up all around.. once destroyed it will not be coming back!

Views...the sheer scale will mean these turbines will be seen from miles around.

Noise... areas around the mountain where sound travels.

History Of The Area... A simular development was proposed for the same area around 20 years ago and the site was deemed unsuitable.

Very Heavily mined area...The huge amount and scale of the destruction from foundations and road networks puts the surrounding areas at risk. Landslides etc..

Property Devaluation ...Common sense would tell you that you wouldn't want to buy a house next to a wind farm over a choice of a countryside view.

Lack Of Public Awareness ... Again So many local people that were unaware the wind farms. Land owners consulted behind the scenes but local residents left in the dark

EMF Radiation – lack of information, safety assurance - a very large area will be electrified.

Cumulative effects combining all the proposed wind farms ( basically one large electrical industrial site - nothing Green about it ! )

Short Life Span ..from so much destruction

Just to repeat from the yesterdays update...

Remember to add some of your own personal reasons you love the mountain.. living near/ visiting the mountain, Wildlife etc.

Ideally we are looking for as many people as possible to object here as it will give the inspectors a solid idea of peoples strong feelings on this.  ( Please don't assume the Councillors and MP's etc will object on our behalf ) as they have remained quiet so far.

You may want to add this petition link:-   https://chng.it/MnQP826vgk     to your emails to show the volume of people that have signed objecting to this.

There is a very good volume of us here. So lets keep the momentum going... Remember you don't have to live right next to the mountain to make an objection. You can defend it from wherever you are in your letters or emails!.

Many Thanks for your help! Matt
