This petition is to bring acknowledgment and with the help of anyone who loves and believes in the respect of all animals, to close down this veterinary practice, GatiGos Torredembarra. On May 18th, a vet named Laura was absolutely responsible for the death of our beloved cat. She tried to hide the mistakes and showed no remorse when confronted. We wrote a review to inform all GatiGos customers, old, current and new, and other vets in the area. They have replied to our Google review to which they said we were being offensive and false, there is no falsity in the fact they overdosed our cat on x10 more insulin and killed him. In this case, Laura was unprofessional, incompetent, and negligent in overdosing our cat with more than 10 times the amount of insulin he normally received, she clearly does not care about the welfare of the pets that come to the clinic in need of care and seems clueless about the Code of Conduct and veterinary ethics, lacking basic knowledge of medicine administration. As a result of her numerous errors in judgement, our cat was subjected to long and painful suffering that led to his death. She administered an overdose of insulin without consulting the instructions and injected our cat without food. Although we do not know how he spent his last agonizing hours in her care, we believe that Laura did not attempt to rectify the situation, she left him there until we went to pick him up and he was discharged knowing what she had done and what awaited him. Also, when we got home, we realized that his carrier was full of feces and urine, and we think that Laura may not have checked on him throughout the day. He then spent from 9pm to 10am the next day dying horribly, suffering from hypoglycemic attacks every 30 minutes, until he became brain dead. Our cat could have lived happily and healthy if we had not trusted the unprofessional and negligent care of this vet that fateful day. Her treatment with foreign clients is horribly bad and she believes that we understand her when she speaks to us in Spanish, quickly, arrogantly and condescendingly. She makes no effort or regard for English speakers whose mother tongue is not Spanish or Catalan. This doesn't make her any smarter, overall her actions throughout our experience of dealing with her have made her seem uneducated, disinterested and unethical. We know that she knows she was wrong from the moment she injected him with a profuse amount of insulin that would have killed an elephant. Would she have done that to herself? To whoever reads this, let it serve as a WARNING. Although this vet clinic may have some positive reviews on Google, it also has a lot of NEGATIVE reviews related to malpractice, so read them FIRST! Laura is the vet who has destroyed the life of a beautiful healthy cat and a family that loved him very much. He wasn't just a cat, he brought a lot of love and joy to our lives for 13 years. Our hearts are left broken and we will endure emotional damage for a long time to come. This is a cause for serious action, and if you believe in animal rights, then sign and share this petition and put and end to innocent animals suffering. Their priority appears to be monetary gain and pet welfare appears to come second.
