On Sunday 25th February 2024 the NSW Government released its Discussion Paper that outlines their decision to remove up to 9 holes and repurpose the western side of Moore Park Golf Course on the north of Dacey Avenue to public open space. 

The Government has also opened a consultation period to seek feedback on the Discussion Paper and their plans to repurpose the golf course. Feedback will be sought via:

• A short survey
• Written submissions via email to mooreparksouth@gsp.nsw.gov.au
• Pop-up sessions in Moore Park and surrounding suburbs (details not provided)

The ask of all those that support Moore Park Golf Course is to:

1. Please fill out the survey and use free text opportunities to advocate for the retention of 18 holes
2. Share the survey with your friends, families, and networks to illicit support for golf at Moore Park
3. Draft individual submissions that advocate for maintaining 18 holes while also improving off-course golf facilities
4. Attend “pop-up” sessions when they are scheduled (currently tbd)
5. Continue to get everyone you know to sign the petition. This petition will add weight to our response to Government and advocacy for maintaining 18 holes.
