I, Lav Singh, son of a proud Indian Army veteran, am writing this not just for myself but for thousands of men and families across India who are suffering in silence due to misuse of maintenance and domestic violence laws.

Despite my wife having an affair after marriage, I forgave her. I stood by her and believed in Indian family values. But later, after getting pregnant, she filed false cases against me and my family, using alimony and legal provisions as weapons to extort money.

This is not just my story. The system is being used to punish innocent husbands and their families, especially middle-class and defence families. Courts are slow, police act without investigation, and no one cares about the man's truth.

❌ Alimony and DV laws are being misused like legal extortion tools

❌ Police file FIRs without evidence

❌ Men are treated as criminals with no chance to defend themselves

❌ False cases drag on for years, breaking families and careers

This is not justice. This is exploitation.

🇮🇳 Our country cannot allow such one-sided laws to destroy families, values, and democracy.

I appeal to the government to:

✅ Make laws gender-neutral
✅ Investigate properly before any FIR or arrest
✅ Punish those who file false cases
✅ Set up fast-track courts for such disputes
✅ Protect the dignity and rights of innocent families

This fight is not against women — it is against misuse of law and systemic bias.
