Recently FIDH spread its announcement regarding its concerns for environmentalists being persecuted by the company that hoped to open a mine in Amulsar. You can read the statement here https://bit.ly/30NDBdX

Residents of Yeghegnadzor signed against mining activities that can negatively affect them and the community council has approved it. This is the 4th community in Vayots Dzor to ban mining activities (after Jermuk, Areni and Glazdor). https://bit.ly/2XawHx9  

Reminder: currently the government of Armenia is waiting for the foreign consulting group ELARD to give its opinion regarding the presence/absence of risks for mining works in Amulsar based on which the government will decide to allow it or not.
