There is no decision in the government regarding Amulsar yet, but the decision by the people has been once again affirmed in December 2018 after 3000 residents of Jermuk community signed and handed in a petition demanding their Council to ban metal mining and approve the development of green economy in their region. https://bit.ly/2LDARsg
As a result, the Council adopted a decision to approve the collective petition of its community members on “Declaring Jermuk an ecological economic area and banning metal mining in the community”. https://bit.ly/2LFuGEh
