April 24 - NATO S.G. Mark Rutte is visiting Washington again while the Trump mafia continues to pressure and intimidate him. The umpteenth laughing session with the highly controversial Pete Hegseth, looks more like yet another attempt by Rutte to cover up his fear and total surrender to the Trump mafia.
Spokespeople at the military alliance are trying to downplay the visit: they report that he is there only to prepare for the summit in The Hague at the end of June. But Rutte's visit comes at an extremely sensitive time, with the Trump mafia increasingly sabotaging the unity within NATO.
Next week, Trump's first hundred days as president will be over, he seems to be doing everything he can to reach an agreement with the Russians and the Ukrainians before then. The question is to what extent NATO S.G. Mark Rutte is to blame for the completely failed policy regarding the war in Ukraine. Has Mark Rutte's surrender to the Trump mafia already led to a NATO that is only concerned with the lucrative trade in war materials?
In recent days, various details have leaked about a proposal that Trump presented to the Ukrainians and the Europeans. It would include that Trump is prepared to lift sanctions against Russia after an agreement and that Ukraine can never become a member of NATO. Another part of the American plan is the recognition of the Russian-occupied Crimea.
All of this is at odds with what Mark Rutte has promised the Ukrainians time and again in recent years. The far-reaching US concessions to Russia are also unacceptable to European leaders. Mark Rutte is failing in his most important task; keeping NATO together. And that seems to expose the fact that Mark Rutte was not appointed as Secretary General to serve the interests of NATO, but only to serve the interests of a small group of ultra-rich Americans.
In the same way that Mark Rutte completely destroyed the Netherlands for the benefit of a small group of 'ultra-rich mafia', he is now doing the same within the NATO group.
And as we in the Netherlands already know; the more Mark Rutte laughs in front of the camera, the more he has to hide!
The call for Rutte's resignation is growing louder, also withín NATO.
