Thank you for signing the petition to allow noise decibel cameras in Georgia. We are making significant progress with several state legislators supporting us. Please contact your state representative and state senator to let them know the issue of loud vehicles is very important to you. We need your support. If we don’t succeed in getting a bill passed to allow these cameras now, we’ll have to wait another year until the state legislature meets again.

We will present the success of the petition, data Georgia State University analyzed for us, a survey with noise data from around the state, some research papers from around the world, and much more to support the strong case for noise decibel cameras.

We NEED your support in four key areas to succeed in making the case to legislators:

1.        Continue to share the petition among your networks – we need signatures from across Georgia. Please share it far and wide to any groups you can think of who may be impacted by vehicle noise - the link is below.

2.      We are gathering at the State Capitol on Tuesday Feb 20 from 8:00am to 10:00am in room 230 in the Georgia State Capital building. We will be serving donuts and coffee. This will be an excellent time to talk to legislators in person and let them know how important this is to you and your neighbors. There is strength in numbers, and we need a large turnout. Please plan to join us on February 20th and let us know by signing up here Sign up.

3.        A statewide survey is being conducted to obtain real-time information that cannot be captured through 911 calls. Please participate in this survey. To do this, download a free decibel meter from the CDC NOISH Decibel Meter. Then go to www.noisesurveygeorgia.com and complete this survey as often as possible when you hear a vehicle. It only takes a moment and continues to strengthen the case for decibel cameras. Please share this with everyone you know in Georgia.

4.        Finally, this is a grassroots effort by individuals not some big organization. We need a small amount of money to cover the costs for breakfast on February 20th, website costs, printing, and administrative expenses – we’ve estimated $5,000 will be sufficient. We will not be hiring lobbyists. We have a gofundme.com page where you can help with these expenses, just click on gofundme.com. We are depending on individual donors like you to help us cover these expenses.

Thank you very much for your continued support. With your help we will get the law to add noise decibel cameras to help stop loud vehicles.
