We made the news!  Joe Cooper has written an article about our struggles to get our drive reverted back into private ownership, which you can read here in the Yorkshire News.  Unfortunately, there is way more scandal here that the paper hasn’t touched on, but it will come out soon.  And it’s bigger than BIG.  Truly shocking!  Please read the article and comment on Twitter here if you fancy.  For those of you reading the article and see the word garage, don’t let that misleading word fool you.  This is not a garage (it can’t house a car, and they can’t drive down our drive to get to it) and it wasn’t built with planning permission (it was concealed) despite conditions on this neighbour’s property that requires the property to apply for planning permission.  It’s a storage shed and they have more convenient access to it within their own property.  So, just to recap.  The City of York Council voted against our lawful development of our property so our neighbours could “access” their unlawfully built storage shed, even though it frustrates our sole access to our property.  This inadvertently makes planning policy framework arbitrary.  Did I tell you the neighbour has placed a camera on this shed that over looks our entire front garden so the comings and goings of my children, my husband, and I can be monitored?  Yeah, that’s happening.  My children want us to move because they feel uncomfortable here and we've been dealing with this issue for over four years, but I keep telling them someone will care about what is happening to us.  And today, I can tell them that people do.  Thank you so much to everyone who is supporting our plight.  It means everything to me right now.  If you haven’t signed the UK petition please sign here.  I know I keep harping on about that, but the UK government does not acknowledge Change.org petitions, which is frustrating.
