STOP LCPS From Banning the change of background!

STOP LCPS From Banning the change of background!
The Issue
LCPS replace all of our beautiful backgrounds to a stupid and pathetic look screen! Also Studies Have shown that Student are more productive with a background not an ugly and terrible try at marketing for a wallpaper!
Let's Make A Change LCPS Board of supervisors!
If You want your favorite background back on your computer sign this and let's make LCPS see what they're doing to us!
Even Teachers are saying that this Banning of the wallpaper is useless more and more people are getting mad about it.
LCPS has done stuff like this before and they think they have control over us but they don't stand up for your rights!
LCPS Is also A very controlling environment they think they rule everything you do but you can stand up to this!
Our personal computing experience at Loudoun County Public School (LCPS) has drastically changed. We have lost our right to customize PC backgrounds, an element that played a significant role in personalizing our Chromebooks. It's now replaced with a sterile, corporate background, stripping away a piece of our individuality and making our devices look like bland hospital computers.
LCPS made this change without consulting us, the students and users. It trivializes our personal touch and is a step backward from the school district's previous progress in promoting student individuality and fostering a home-like environment for learning. It's a well-established fact: A personal touch in learning tools can foster a sense of belonging and boost productivity. As Wardle & Cureton in their 1999 study "Influences on Personalization of the Student Environment" mentioned, personalization of academic devices contributes to overall student satisfaction [source: ERIC].
In a time when the majority of our learning happens through these devices, it's crucial that they echo a sense of belonging and individuality. Therefore, we are calling on LCPS to restore our right to change our PC backgrounds. By doing this, LCPS will be endorsing its commitment to support its student body's desire for customization and individual choice.
Stand with us and sign the petition to bring back our customization rights on LCPS Chromebooks!
