Over the last few days, finally, the urgency of doing something to stop our nation's epidemic of violence against women is making the news.

But it has come at an immense cost.

We have tragically lost so many lives since this petition started - this year alone, Sherele Moody has reported 32 femicides in Australia (with the latest, WA mum Erica Hay, added to this horrific list today).

And the tragedy at Bondi Junction, with the confirmed targeting of women, devastated us all.

In response, Sarah Williams from advocacy group What Were You Wearing? Australia has organised rallies around the country over this weekend.

Early reports estimate 8-10,000 attended the event in Sydney today.

Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will join the march in Canberra.

I'll be at the Gold Coast rally (Fisherman's Lawn, Southport).

I expect the Brisbane march will have a huge turnout too.

I've added a picture of other events and times for tomorrow. If there's one near you - please come along. Men, we need you to stand with us too.

Let's give this demand for change a big, loud push together.
