Theses dogs are now dead and 1,000 more now. Stop the City Vets in Phils from killing !!

The Issue

Last week, 17 stray dogs were killed in the City Veterinarian's office of Cabadbaran,Agusan del Norte. There were 50 dogs that were caught put in the cage. Fed all in a few containers, the aggressive ones ate, the others did not. There injured, sick dogs that needed medically attention but the City Veterinarian's Office decided not to help them, they decided that as soon as they pick them up,they will be dead soon anyway.

They were dead as soon as they were picked up, they were treated like garbage that needed disposing. There were no programs or attempts to have them adopted in the City Vet's Office. There were no mentioned that they will be killed if not picked up, it simply suggest if anyone wants to adopt any dog, feel free to pick it up. There were no urgency, nor advocacy for animal welfare. The City Veterinarian's Office is funded by the tax dollars of either the city of Cabadbaran or the budget that came from Department of Agriculture, either way the existence of this office is for the welfare of animals. One case was the adopted dog was set aside to be picked up by an adopter after her work. The City Vet's Office killed that dog because it was an "inconvenience" that the dog is around.

The barbaric and cruelty displayed is pure animal cruelty. It was not done out of animal control, nor it was not done for animal welfare. It was done in the ugly showcase of inhumanity.

There are many programs that can be implemented; spay and neuter program, advocacy for stray animals that volunteers can feed them after they are vaccinated, vaccination programs, adoption events held to get the dogs adopted, advertising in various public areas for adoption, animal welfare education in schools, animal welfare liaison to help with animals who are in need and advocate for them

None of this were done. They just kill dogs. Is that what you want? If not sign this petition and even though we may or may not get heard. You will be proud that you stand up for what is right by innocent souls who has zero voice.
