Just in case anyone was in any doubt that people at DCC are duplicitous in the extreme, I've been looking through the Fast Track newsletters and the plans that were shown to the public for the scheme when it was first signed off. The end result is more than a year over schedule and looks nothing like it was supposed to:
A. Because there are no electric buses yet
B. Because it doesn't follow the original planned route
C. Because the original plan did not involve £1.5m-plus extra public money wasted on digging up Dover town centre for 5 months over Christmas 2024.
You can see the original public exhibition boards here Noticeably, the poncy newsletters stopped in June this year when the penny might have dropped that this is a monumental cock up.
Please keep sharing and encouraging people to sign. I will keep digging and reporting back. PS: Apparently, the route is opening to pedestrians and cyclists next week. Unfortunately, I will be in Scotland, or I'd have loved to have met you up there.
