So today I dropped off the above invitation by hand to the DDC councillor in charge of transport. I'd already emailed him the same invitation, plus a couple of other emails that explained my reason for starting this petition. The receptionist assured me he would get my letter today, but he hasn't replied yet. Perhaps he will turn up tomorrow. I'm still hoping that he will because he's a Labour councillor and Mr Baker is a Tory. He has also ignored me, although I forgot to invite him tomorrow. I doubt he'd want to put his car wheels in Dover, never mind his feet.
However, there is at least one Dover Town Councillor joining me tomorrow, so we will meet with the reporter and aim to get some media coverage, which I will share with you if we get it.
Thank you for supporting my petition - please keep sharing and encouraging others to sign. If we can get it to 1,000 in a week, it would be amazing.
