The Issue

Let’s work together to improve the quality of life in Downtown Long Beach.  Please sign this petition to ask the Long Beach City Council at the Tuesday, May 16 City Council meeting to continue to vote NO on reissuing the business license to JP23 restaurant, bar, and nightclub at 110 E. Broadway, Long Beach as well as DENY associated business license applications like Namyur LLC dba Scorpio & 11/11. At the May 16 meeting, City Council will review and vote to adopt the written findings from legal counsel that supports the decision to DENY JP23’s business license; please find more information on the agenda and legal written findings.  The business  operator of JP23 is a known irresponsible operator in both Fullerton and Long Beach (see articles below), and is trying to reopen Sunday, May 28 with a regularly occurring event.
