I've had just about enough of the circus that is Jon Jones and his seemingly endless get-out-of-jail-free cards in the UFC. Remember when Dana White himself said he "couldn't trust Jon Jones to be on the White House card"? Yet here we are, only a few months later, and suddenly Jones is back in negotiations to fight on that same exact CARD!!! The hypocrisy is infuriating and utterly disillusioning for fans who once believed the UFC stood for integrity and sportsmanship. Instead of standing up and bending over everytime Jones asks you to!

Jon Jones has a well-documented history of infractions, both inside and outside the octagon. A so called “shining” career marred by failed drug tests, DUIs, legal issues, and a general disregard for the rules that hold the world of professional sports together. He's a talented fighter, no doubt, but at what cost should we continue to tolerate his antics? The credibility of the UFC is at stake every time the organization turns a blind eye to Jones' misdeeds.

According to the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Jones has failed multiple drug tests over the years, with substances ranging from anabolic steroids to "atypical findings" that have sparked controversy and confusion. In 2015, he was involved in a hit-and-run incident, leading to a temporary suspension. In 2020, he was arrested for yet another DWI and negligent use of a firearm. These aren't errors in judgment; these are patterns of behavior that show a serious lack of accountability.

Not to mention he can duck and hide from Tom Aspinall for quote unquote “lack of enthusiasm?” But oh we’ve got a fight card like no other? Now Jones has supposedly found some new inspiration for wanting to fight again. This is a dangerous precedent. We should insist on a ZERO-tolerance policy when it comes to fighters who continuously disrespect the sanctity of the sport.

This isn't just about one fighter; it's about preserving the integrity of the entire organization. If we let this slide, what does it say to other fighters training day in and day out, adhering to every rule, constantly makes hard weight cuts, never cheating there opposition and do everything the UFC asks of them and these fighters can’t even get as much as a “fuck you” from the UFC?  The message has to be clear: No one is above the rules.
