-Illinois is the only state that is limiting instant messaging. 

-It’s obvious that information that was given out from inmates contradicts claims from officers in IDOC, including 

*Deaths, shakedowns, lockdowns, day room access, phone access, WiFi being turned off, chow, church (religious freedom), program availability, commissary restrictions, yard, video visits, in person visits, mail delivery, rehabilitative services, work and seg placement. 

-ILLINOIS IS THE ONLY STATE THAT USES ICSOLUTIONS THAT RESTRICTS INCARCERATED INDIVIDUALS FROM USING THE LAW LIBRARY!!!!! 

Illinois is the only state that has an iron fist when it comes to freedom of communication through families and the incarcerated. Violating rights of families and prisoners, yes, PRISONERS! OF ILLINOIS! 

Cost of these few options on ICS tablets are harming families in many ways. ICS has went to prisons and told inmates and family members on phone calls that IDOC does not follow suit and ups prices and gives and takes what they want. $6 for 5 hours of any tablet use. Things that are supposed to be free are not, 15 cents a message each way and now taking days to be sent, at the officers discretion, excluding weekends!

.23 cents a call and incarcerated individuals have to purchase their own use at commissary, if they even allowed to go to commissary. Leading us to fight for IDOC to return back to GTL or make all options available to ICS tablets where our money is worth the fees. IDOC and the Illinois Correctional Officers, are losing respect globally as they keep implementing ways to cut off rehabilitation and now communication as well.

We demand all options to be available to the tablets in IDOC and for all of our communication to be allowed, not at IDOC or the officers convenience!
