Now, in the name of development and construction, these venerable trees are being illegally cut down, leaving gaping holes in our green zone. This destruction doesn't just rob us of our town's natural beauty but also threatens the environmental balance that these trees help maintain. Dahanu's green zone is crucial to keep the temperatures moderate, facilitating a livable climate for all residents.

The cutting down of these ancient trees has adverse effects on air quality, wildlife habitats, and increases the risk of soil erosion. These issues will only get worse over time if no action is taken.
