Hi, for the sake of my ongoing case I’m calling myself “Jane”, and I am a victim, and survivor of sex trafficking, who has also been victimized by the people, and places that are supposed to be there to help me. The hospitals, (Waterbury Hospital and Saint Mary’s Hospital), have denied me 5 rape kits, and Waterbury CT police department refused to collect evidence / DNA from the crime scenes. Even after one rape kit was done, and did find male DNA, and another assault was fully recorded on audio, I was still denied these services, multiple times. My treatment by the hospitals, and police was very disrespectful, humiliating, and degrading.

No sexual assault should ever go without evidence collection, and no one should have to be treated how I was. Together we can help ensure no one ever is again.

I am working to create a bill, called "The Sexual Assault Victims Rights Act". By signing this petition you are showing support to protect sexual assault victim's rights. With enough signatures, we can show legislators, and change-makers that this is an issue that needs to be addressed, and my bill should be created, and passed into law.

PROPOSED BILL:

1. No hospital can deny a rape kit to a patient stating they’ve been raped.
2. Law enforcement has to collect dna from the scene of a reported rape. Most might think this would already be the law. It’s not!
3. Blood and urine tests need to be done immediately upon arrival to a hospital, prior to triage, because many of these drugs only stay in a persons system for up to 6 hours. We also need better tox screens to test for Fentanyl. 
4. A person stating they’ve been raped should be brought into a separate area of the emergency room, should not have to tell their story to triage, and multiple nurses. The victim can simply tell triage the facts “hi I’ve been raped, no I have no injuries, or yes I do have injuries. That should be it. 5. Rape kit information / results should be available to the victim through the tracking website. (Right now the information is very limited)

SUMMARY OF MY STORY: 

I am currently 53 years old. I met my trafficker, I will call Brooke in 2012 when she was a flight attendant, and I was flying home from Atlanta. We started talking on the flight, had a lot in common, she seemed smart, fun, driven, and caring. We kept in touch after the flight, and became friends quickly. Within weeks she had me meet her on layovers, and was expressing many different traumas in her life, including being in an abusive relationship. She also admitted to being a recovering drug addict. I have a big heart, and couldn’t ignore what I thought was her genuine pain. A couple months after meeting she claimed the abuse had gotten worse, and she asked me to fly to her home in Atlanta to help her. Of course I did!

During what turned into a 5 week visit, including while flying with her, and staying in hotels during her layovers, I was always passing out after drinking a soda, or a couple sips of wine, and often woke up with bruises. Brooke would say the flying made me exhausted, and the bruises were do to the altitude when flying. Looking back, of course I was stupid to believe that. When at her house, she’d always bring me around men. Many of these times I’d fall asleep. Anyone who knows me knows I never fell asleep easily, but when with Brooke I always did. As smart as I was / am, I was equally naive. I knew woman were drugged and sexually assaulted, but it never crossed my mind that a woman would do this to another woman, and I also never saw myself as someone that people would want to sexually assault.

Over the years Brooke contacted me with drama in her life. Her husband was physically and mentally abusing her, she was addicted to drugs, was fighting with her family, and always needed my help. Her husband also committed crimes against me, and was sentenced to 3 years in prison in 2013 as a result. I flew to Atlanta a few times to bring Brooke back to my home to get her into a drug program, and try to help her get her life back on track. During these times I was losing time, often felt drugged, woke up sore, bruised, and often felt like I had sex. I always listened to Brooke's reasoning, and just thought I was forgetting things, or maybe just getting sick. 

The most recent time Brooke lived with me was 2017-2019. We ended up in an intimate relationship for about a year during this time. When the relationship ended we continued being “best friends”. The same red flags continued, and the same excuses were used. After she moved out she continued coming back for visits.

Xmas 2019 Brooke came to visit. We went to NYC for Xmas Eve. She picked the hotel. Brooke wanted to go to China Town to get purses, she flagged down a cab. That driver made a call to someone. When we got to China Town a man walked over to our cab and brought us inside a van in a parking lot. Brooke said this was done so they knew we weren’t the police. Of course I believed her. I now believe she got drugs from them in order to knock me out. We went back to the hotel to drop off our things. I passed out! When we woke up Brooke was high on drugs. Shortly after we went for dinner, I started feeling groggy after, and passed out after getting back to our room. When we woke up we ordered breakfast, and room service brought me an omelette shaped as a penis (I saved a picture of it). I also noticed both our room keys were missing. Other suspicious things happened during this trip also. I believe I was assaulted / trafficked before and after dinner while in the hotel. 

Early 2020 (while Brooke claimed to be in another state) I started having what I thought were dreams of me being sexual with her, and other men. I also had “dreams” of being taken from my home. In one “dream” I heard another woman crying. I remember asking her if she was ok, and she couldn’t or wouldn’t answer me. I would wake up many mornings and see my furniture was moved, I’d find drinking glasses on tables, I’d smell cologne, cigarette smoke, my security alarm was being tripped for “unknown” reasons, my pants would be pulled down, shirt around my neck, and so much more. My health started deteriorating, and I honestly started thinking I was losing my memory, and my mind. This continued, and just got worse over time. Who would ever think someone was coming into their home and sexually assaulting them? I surely didn't!

Brooke visited December 2021, and left in January 2022. I was waking up drugged most days, I had no recollection of days prior. Brooke claimed it was my meds. This continued after she left. I would also wake up and find my doors open, strange clothes in my basement, and once woke up thinking I dreamt Brooke was here with a man, smelled her perfume, and even found her shirt on the spare room bed. I just wrote it off as me imagining it, and thought perhaps I overlooked her shirt prior to that day. This was real, and not a dream. I also found matching clothes. 4 men’s matching underwear, shirts and socks. In one of my “dreams” I remember being naked with men around a table all wearing the same underwear, and shirts. I don’t recall seeing their socks. 

March 2022 I came home to find my house broken into. There was broken glass in my basement, and something called a remote relay switch on the floor. I now know that is used for remotely controlling things. I called the police immediately. They showed up and didn’t care. They didn’t check my house, never dusted for prints. I later found that my computer was hacked, and found multiple remote folders on my devices. I called the police many times trying to make a report about this, but was completely ignored. 

June 2, 2022 is when everything came together. I woke up very drugged, there was human feces on my toilet, I was bleeding from the rectum, I had bruises all over my legs, and thighs. The bruises were hand prints. I had a lump on my head, there was semen on my body. I then noticed that my dog was bleeding from her mouth. That is when I knew someone was definitely in my home, and assaulted me, and hurt my dog. I called my med dr. who prescribed my adderal, and anti depressant. Although she wasn’t my therapist, she was the closest I had to one at that time, and felt I needed someone’s support. Ironically Brooke found this med dr, and it was her dr first. This dr called 911, and lied about what I told her happened, she stated I was crazy, and said I wouldn’t go to the hospital willingly. Let me make it clear, I called her to call 911, so I could be taken to the hospital.

The police showed up with the mobile crisis psych nurse. I was still in shock. I was crying, I was confused, I was worried about my dog, and yes I probably appeared mentally unstable at the time. I told them my story and they brought me to the hospital, and tried committing me to psych on a 3 day hold. I had to tell my story multiple times. The emergency room dr made me tell him my story in a public hallway, he laughed at me, mocked me, called me delusional, and he refused to examine me, or give me a rape kit. After meeting with the psych dr, she was clear that I was not mentally unstable, and she chose not to uphold the 3 day hold, and let me go home. Prior to sending me home she did a urine test on me. The results came back supporting that there was semen in my urine, but still no rape not was done. The police also refused to collect the evidence from my home, including finger prints, dna, and more.

After this I contacted many sexual assault agencies for help. I started getting help from the Office of Victims services. Safe Haven helped with counseling, and the police, and I started weekly mental health therapy. For months I was calling and emailing the police to try to be heard. No calls or emails were ever acknowledged. I was raped several more times, but refused to call the police or go to the hospital because I had no trust in the system. Upon having many sessions with Safe Haven we finally got an appointment with a detective. The detective was a female, and really seemed to care about my case. I finally had some trust back for my police. I then started asking again for the police to come for dna evidence from my bed and sofa. Both are where the assaults took place. Both were also brand new, and the only male dna on them would be that of my attackers. The detective stated the evidence was now too old. 

November 2022 I was raped again. This time the hospital did do a rape kit and exam. I asked for my house to be processed for evidence right away, and again the police still refused. The detective stated it was best to wait for the rape kit results. I expressed my concern to her about the DNA becoming "too old" if not collected asap. Her response was that it was best to wait. I trusted her, and waited over 3 months for the results. The results came back finding male DNA. Unfortunately this DNA didn’t match anyone in the CODIS national database. I then asked for the police to do what they said they would, and come for the DNA evidence on my bed and sofa. Even after the detective assured me it was best to wait, they then again told me the DNA was now too old. Too old? Well, then why didn’t they collect it at the time of the assault? I reported 4 more assaults, and even though the police now knew we had male DNA, and my story was supported, they still refused to collect evidence / DNA from my home, bed, sofa. The detective stated that her supervisor said they didn’t need to collect evidence from my home because they already had DNA from a rape kit. What good is that DNA when it doesn’t match anyone? 

I was assaulted twice in May 2023. I reported the assaults, and went to the hospital. No evidence was collected by the police, and a rape kit was refused.

I was assaulted again June 2023. I was now hiding an old phone with the audio recorder on, and the full 2 hours was recorded in full. I went to the hospital and even with the recording, emails from the detective, prior rape kit results, the hospital refused the 5th rape kit, because they thought I was paranoid and delusional. Let me clarify, each time I went to the hospital I asked to speak to a psychiatrist because I wanted it on record that I was mentally stable, and each time they confirmed I was. Their diagnosis was “Mood Disorder Unspecified”. I was told is a typical diagnosis for a person who takes antidepressants, of which I do. The ER dr took it upon himself to override this. Even IF I was unstable, how does a dr expect a rape victim to appear? After the first assault I never appeared unstable. As pathetic as this sounds, I was so used to what was being done to me that it became routine, and I think I was numb.

After the June 2023 assault the detective asked her supervisor if they could come here for the evidence / DNA. Her supervisor again told her that it wasn’t needed because we had the DNA from the November 2022 assault. I was angry and pushed to have this evidence collected for months. How could they refuse to collect DNA from the November assault because they felt it was too old, now know my case was supported, and then refuse to collect the DNA after the new assaults? These were most likely different men with different DNA.

The detective notified me a few days later stating that she was preparing my file / case to present the the State’s Attorney. I just received word last week that the State’s Attorney said there is not enough evidence for a judge to do a warrant for arrest. The detective then chose to close my case. How can they say there’s not enough evidence when they refused to collect it?

Other examples of support for my claims are I have a recording of Brooke from her December 2021 visit where she spends over an hour talking about the sex trafficking, and everything being done to me. She spins it as if I’m doing it to her, and for that reason I just thought she was manic and crazy at the time. Brooke was aware I was recording her. I told her I was bcuz she was acting crazy and scaring me. I also found a handwritten note of Brooke's during this time which says get IP address for video sex, and get porn site.

Ten years ago Brooke told me, and a friend who was a police detective that she was connected to a family in Georgia who smuggled, and trafficked minor Asian children for sex. Unfortunately we thought she was lying. I now believe this was true. I think she used her position as a flight attendant to help traffic kids. I also found a memory card with what appeared to be child porn on it, thumbnails from a porn site which appeared to be minor kids. Brooke claimed it was her ex husbands, and unfortunately the memory card is now gone. There are also dozens of photos showing me passed out, drugged, naked, bruised and some show me being held up by someone in my bathroom, and on my toilet. There are also text messages from Brooke using some form of column spacing encryption and these texts clearly detail things being done to me. They also seem to have a lot of similarities to the large trafficking bust in Boston MA.

Throughout the 10 years Brooke always tried to turn me against my friends and family, and them against me. She'd “loose” or “accidentally damage” my clothes, make up, hair products, she drained me of over $20,000, and she and her “associates” damaged my home causing thousands in damages. She always had an emergency, and would beg me for a “loan” of which she never repaid. Yes I was stupid for giving her the the money, but she used guilt, manipulation and gas lighting, and I fell into the trap. Now, I’m doing everything I can to put my life back together. I believe it was Brooke’s goal to ensure I would lose everything, and lose my self esteem, so I didn’t have a life outside of her. I am dealing with many orgs, advocates and the Office Of Victims Services for any help they can provide. 

💥 August 2025 UPDATE – New Evidence & Escalating Concerns:

Since posting my original story, I have uncovered overwhelming new evidence that expands and strengthens my case far beyond what I first shared here. While my original petition focused on the repeated assaults, trafficking, and systemic failures to collect DNA evidence, the last year has revealed a much wider pattern of targeted abuse, surveillance, and life-threatening tampering inside my home.

Through photos, videos, device logs, and recovered search histories, I have documented:

Hidden cameras and covert surveillance devices installed throughout my home, confirmed by multiple independent analyses.

Computer and phone intrusions, including remote access folders, device logs, and a discovered remote relay switch — technology that can control appliances, doors, or cameras from outside the property.
Furnace tampering designed to emit carbon monoxide, supported by Amanda’s own search history for the exact parts used and my medical records indicating CO exposure.
Encrypted and coded text messages that, once analyzed, directly aligned with the tactics and equipment found in my home.
Links between Amanda’s activities and larger trafficking patterns, including similarities to recent high-profile busts.

These findings are not speculative — they are verifiable, physical evidence. And yet, law enforcement has repeatedly refused to collect or process it. The same pattern continues: assaults occur, evidence is visible and available, but is either dismissed or ignored until it “expires.”

This update is not just about my safety — it’s about exposing a coordinated pattern of abuse and obstruction. Every ignored piece of evidence sends a message to traffickers that they can operate with impunity.

There is a lot more evidence to support my case, which I am willing to explain to anyone who would like more info. Detailing everything in this petition is just too much.

CALL TO ACTION:

I am also asking if you would email, and or call my State’s Attorney to request that a further investigation be conducted on my case, with the DNA collected from my home. Upon collecting all evidence there would be probable cause for a warrant. This investigation should also include having a Digital IT forensic specialist review my computers, devices, and things found in my home. I didn’t get into all the tech stuff that was done, because most don’t understand it, and it causes confusion.

This case is bigger than me. The FBI needs to investigate this because I’m confident other woman, and children are being trafficked by the same group of people.
