The hunt has historically met on Boxing Day each year in Tiverton without following due process as is required by anyone else.
District and County councillors have received detailed evidence of breaches of policy, regulation and laws, but are so far failing to act to protect the public and our wildlife and pets. The Hunts are not above the law or rules and regulations put in place for public safety and to ensure equal access to public spaces for all.

We, the people local to Tiverton, do not want the Tiverton Hunts or any other Hunt to meet or parade through our town on Boxing Day, or any other day and hereby, petition Tiverton Town Council, Mid Devon District Council and Devon County Council to tell the Hunt to stay out of our town and hold this event elsewhere.

Matt Longman The National Police Lead on Hunting states " Trail hunts are being used as a loophole for the unlawful chasing and killing of animals" &" The Hunting Act is not working effectively and illegal hunting is still common practice." 

With not only Wildlife but Cats, Dogs, stock animals and even Pregnant Alpacas on Yoga retreats now being killed on these hunts. Something must be done. Even the Hunt Horses and Hounds are regularly severely injured or killed on roads and train tracks or while out supposedly trail hunting ( Who is setting trails across duel carrageways Train tracks through barb wire and dense brambles)? Then these animals are regularly left without proper vetinary care, or simply forgotten or left for dead.

Scotland has taken action to stop this barbaric cruelty, each and every town and Council MUST ACT NOW and the rest of the UK will follow.

I have personally witnessed and received threats of assualt and even death from hunt members and supporters while participating in peaceful demonstration. They believe they are abouve all rule regulation and law. This year alone ignoring all guidance provided, and live broadcasting that they should hunt " poor people for sport " I was threated with being bound and dragged behind a horse for the hounds to kill for fun.
