After 2 years of lockdown many industries suffered great loss, specifically the Hospitality and the Leisure industry.

The government created a scheme offering Furlough to those in work, who had to stay home as their employers were forced by the government to halt trading. Now many of those small businesses are being chased for Furlough based on technicalities. Furlough was supposed to be an aid to prevent businesses unemploying staff. But now small independent businesses are paying the price literally; they are being forced to pay months/years of staff wages for periods they did even not trade. Businesses are facing closure because of this unjust and shocking display of the government's ill decision. Small independent businesses are having to return large sums of money that was NOT given to the employer, but their employees. Money that was necessary for living expenses during lockdown.

Yet surprisingly millions of 'Furlough fraud' has been written off. This needs to STOP. Haven't businesses endured enough?
