As a patient at Sherwood Hall Medical Center in Alexandria, VA, I have personally experienced harassment from loiterers and protesters on the premises. When checking out my doctor's office within the building, I was confronted by one of these individuals. This incident was not only distressing but also an infringement on my right to access healthcare services without fear or intimidation.

This is not an isolated event. I have witnessed others being subjected to similar treatment, causing distress and fear among patients who are already dealing with health concerns. It is unacceptable that this behavior is allowed to continue on private commercial property.

Harassment outside medical facilities can significantly impact patients' emotional well-being. Furthermore, it infringes upon their right to access healthcare services freely.

Sherwood Hall Medical Center should be a safe space for all its patients – free from any form of harassment or intimidation. We call upon the owners of Sherwood Hall Medical Center and local authorities in Alexandria, VA to take immediate action against these disruptive activities occurring at the main entrance and parking lot.
