Dear Supporters,
We are thrilled to announce that Demi Netto, one of our brave students, returned to Hillstar Testing Station on February 27th and successfully passed her driver’s test!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who backed our petition—it truly made a difference!
After raising concerns about discriminatory treatment from an Examiner, Demi faced the same individual again, but this time the experience was vastly different. She was treated with respect and kindness, leaving her initially confused by this turnaround. However, Demi’s resilience shone through as she embraced the support and validation she deserved.
Many students might have hesitated to return, but Demi exhibited incredible courage, reinforcing our belief at LOTS that we don’t just teach driving; we cultivate confidence and character.
We extend our gratitude to Instructor Rowena for her steadfast support at the testing station and to the entire LOTS team for standing firm against any negative behavior towards our students.
A special thanks to the investigating officer for promptly addressing the situation at Hillstar, transforming a negative experience into a positive one.
We also appreciate the Hillstar Testing Station and the Examiner for using this experience as a catalyst for meaningful change.
It’s not just the numbers that matter in petitions; it’s the passion and commitment of people like you that drive real progress.
Thank you for your unwavering support!
Warm regards,
Joanie Fredericks
