I am calling on lawmakers and concerned citizens to take action and stop the misuse of foster care funding. While the foster care system is meant to protect children, it has become a broken system plagued by corruption and abuse. My story is a testament to the failures of this system, and I am not alone.

In 2017, CPS unjustly removed my children from my care based on lies and manipulated evidence. For years, I fought tirelessly to reunite my family and expose the truth. It wasn’t until I filed a lawsuit against the counties involved in 2022 that the system was held accountable for its wrongful actions. Tragically, while children like mine are taken from safe, loving homes, CPS often neglects children who are truly in abusive situations, leaving them vulnerable.

The foster care system not only separates families without just cause but also subjects many children to further trauma and abuse within foster homes. We cannot allow public funds to continue to support a system that prioritizes quotas and profit over the well-being of children and families.

It’s time to hold CPS and the foster care system accountable. We must demand transparency, oversight, and reform to ensure that taxpayer dollars are used to support families, not tear them apart.
