Millions of people are being forced into fuel poverty and are struggling to pay their gas and electricity bills.  When they fall behind, energy companies are forcing them to have pre-payment meters. These cost more than normal energy bills and if people can't top up their meters in advance, the electricity is switched off.  This is extremely dangerous, especially for those suffering from mental or physical illness.  We demand that energy companies cease this practice during the cost-of-living crisis.
