Let’s keep the momentum going and unite to grow our movement until we reach Washington, D.C., and make our voices heard loud and clear: America demands action. The monopolization of the pharmacy industry is harming our nation due to Optum RX’s abuse of its power as a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) and mail order pharmacy. Optum’s PBM not only forces many people to use their own mail-order pharmacies that risks lives with delays and improper temperature storage but also pays competitors or local pharmacies below their costs, causing rapid closures and hurting patients and entire communities. We need legislators to act now, as at least one pharmacy is closing every day.
To save lives and prevent more from being harmed, patients need choice of pharmacy.
