Every day during this hot summer I worried that someone would receive medication in the mail that has been compromised by excessive heat. Every day, I am fighting so we will be able to choose the pharmacy where we get our medications, and I am fighting for changes so that medicines will be monitored during shipping and kept within the proper temperature range to avoid heat damage that could harm you or our loved ones.
These are the things currently being done on your behalf:
· Traveling to Board of Pharmacy in every state to share our stories and demand changes.
· Attending Patient Summit Meetings with legislators and pharmaceutical companies.
· Conducting a temperature study to prove that our medicines are exposed to excessive heat in UPS trucks during delivery. So far, we’ve recorded temperature in excess of 120°F
· Ongoing conversations are being held with insurers, physicians, pharmacists, regulatory organizations, legislators and patients in support of our cause.
I wish I could do it all by myself, but I need your help. Please consider a donation to help fund the ongoing work being done to give you choices about where to get your medicines and to improve the way in which your life-saving medications are sent to your home. Please donate today.... even if only $1. Working together our voices will be heard... changes will be made ... and lives will be saved.
We have two major traveling events coming up within the next month pending Welsey's labs improve. Since last year after when mail-order shipped his medications poorly, Wesley's labs have been mostly higher than usual and have increased substantially the last few months. We should have updated results on Tuesday.
Thanks to every one of you for your support! We're going to fix this, or I will spend every day of my life with our supporters trying.
