Petition updateStop Forcing Mail-Order Pharmacy as the Only Option of CoverageIf You Live in Virginia, a Proposed Mail-order Pharmacy Bill May Come Your Way

Hi everyone,

I had an amazing time at Virginia's Legislative Day this week. I, along with others, plan on being a voice for the thousands of patients across our nation having issues with mail-order pharmacy. I've never met such amazing people who fight so hard for the patients and independent pharmacists. I am forever thankful. There is a bill proposed against forced mail-order pharmacy in Virginia, & I need your help to make sure this doesn't die. Again, this bill is not taking away the options to use mail order if a patient prefers to use mail-order pharmacy. This bill would give us back the options we had stripped from our hands.

Also, I was almost in tears hearing the sad news of pharmacists who have closed their doors due to forced mail-order pharmacy and low reimbursements. While at the same time, patients receive higher copays if they're allowed to use their independent pharmacy.

If you know of any patients or citizens in Virginia who would be willing to fight to see this through, please let me know. I know I do have many supporters in VA, I will reach out to them. We cannot let this bill lose fire!  I'm hoping to find what subcommittee will hold the proposed legislation in their hands as they will not just hold the bill but the lives of patients and their voters.

Even if you are not from Virginia, this is a great need to review this for those who are reaching out to your local representatives. It gives an idea as to what to suggest to your legislatures as a solution to the problems with mail-order pharmacy. Here is the link. http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?191+sum+HB2223
