Petition updateStop Forcing Mail-Order Pharmacy as the Only Option of CoverageWATCH THE VIDEO! MAIL ORDER PHARMACY EXPOSED FOR NOT MONITORING MEDICATIONS OR PROTECTING PATIENTS

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO. I cried a lot yesterday. I knew that we were right, but so many times the mail-order pharmacy told me I was wrong that medications were not being shipped in unsafe ways. When I first started even a State Board of Pharmacy member tried to tell me I was wrong. I waited for the proof. Guess what? The State Board of Pharmacy FINALLY admitted that there is no proof that our medications, including children's oral room temperature medications, are safe shipped in extreme temperatures in only a plastic bag or bubble mailer, and the State Board of Pharmacy acknowledged that yesterday. These trucks reach up to 170 degrees. Mailboxes reach up to 150 degrees.

I did find that not all State Board of Pharmacy members are bad. Some did show true concern. For example, a hero at the State Board of Pharmacy, James Gray. He openly admitted that yes this is a problem. He shared his own personal experience of getting medications that had been frozen. He also noted that medications just are not tested at these extremes, so we do not know what happens. I know that the manufacturers have told me they could lose potency. We must have limits. Why were we told of all the great things about mail-order pharmacy, but never told of this risk?

The State Board of Pharmacy will meet again in April as they continue to find ways to address this issue.

They are supposed to rewrite the law. I hope they add to it and do not take away the law that says the mail-order pharmacy should adhere to the guidelines set forth by the manufacturer.

If someone likes mail order and they do not mind the risks, they should be able to have the option to use it.

I myself do not want to risk my son's life and no one should have to be forced to risks their own life.

The delivery services like UPS, USPS, and Fed Ex also have an obligation to make sure they are protecting our medications when they pick up these medications and transport them not just to patients, but in-between facilities. It is past time for them to provide temperature control to their trucks for the lives of their delivery drivers and the patients!

I need you to share this. Everyone must know and we must protect all patients!!!

Each year the Insurance company's PBMs give a lot of money to lobbyist, republicans, and democratic government officials to act on their behalf.

This issue will easily expose those on both sides who are paid off to not protect patients.

Thank you so much for your support!

Keep sharing the petition. I can't do this without you and your stories and experiences. Please continue to share them.
