First thank you so much to Change.org. Thank you to every supporter and person who shared this petition. This petition got into the right hands, the hands of regulators who will do something and who care strongly about the voters who elected them.
The headline of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reads, "Virginia moves to limit mail-order specialty pharmacies following concerns of mishandling medicines for complex conditions." It also includes a piece of our petition.
I hope to see other states follow and enact stricter laws across our nation to protect patient's life-saving medications along with the reversal of forcing of mail order pharmacy.
PBMs (pharmacy benefit managers), that hold our money in their hands as we pay our insurance payment often decide pharmacy access and reimbursements. Next, It is time for them to give us equal coverage to see our pharmacist and reimburse them fairly. PBMs shouldn't be able to pay their owned mail order pharmacy 8 times as much as our preferred pharmacist as they did with my son's medications. We were only allowed the coverage and access after media involvement of Fox 2 News. This after the mail order pharmacy delivered my son's transplant medications in only a bubble mailer on a hot day.
I'm thankful that the discussion of safer handling of medications is starting to happen!
If you know of anyone who lives in Virginia, please share this with them. When the State Board of Pharmacy opens public comments, I hope everyone from concerned citizens in Virginia to all the professionals who care deeply for the patients whom they serve to comment on what they feel needs to happen in order to have better protection of life-saving medications during transport.
You all have been wonderful. Thank you so much to the reporter, Bridget Bulch! We need many more journalists and reporters who care about the people they serve to report the inhumane and unethical pharmaceutical practices currently taking place across our nation.

Please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns, or issues about mail order pharmacy. If you are willing to share with legislatures, please let me know your state!
Thank you so much!
