💡 What You Need to Know Before Going
- No Public Comment at This Meeting: There will be no public speakers during this session. However, do not let that discourage you. Filling every single chair in the auditorium sends an undeniable visual message to the board members that our opposition remains strong and unrelenting.
- Lighter & Faster Meeting: Unlike September's marathon session, the agenda for October 6th is significantly shorter. You won't be stuck there late into the night, making this an easy and high-impact evening commitment!
🗺️️ Understanding the Process: Where We Go From Here
It’s crucial to understand how the county's decision-making process works and why this meeting matters:
- October 6th (Planning Board Meeting): The Planning Board will deliberate and issue a non-binding recommendation to approve or deny the application.
- November 16th (Board of Commissioners Meeting): The final, binding vote and ultimate decision will be made by the Board of Commissioners.
A strong showing on October 6th ensures the Planning Board feels the full weight of our community's position as they form their recommendation—setting the stage for the crucial November vote!
