Stop Facebook from Silently Disabling Accounts — Demand Real Support for UK Users

The Issue

In April 2025, my Facebook account was disabled without warning, explanation, or any right to appeal. I did nothing wrong, yet I lost years of memories, personal contacts, and access to important communities — and Facebook offered no real way to resolve it.

Sadly, this isn’t just about me. Thousands of users across the UK and beyond have had accounts and groups wrongly disabled by Meta (Facebook), and they’re met with silence, bots, and dead-end appeals. Facebook’s moderation is now largely automated, with no transparency, no human review, and no accountability.

We demand that Facebook:

Provide real human support for users and group admins

Implement fair and transparent appeals for account and group bans

Stop relying solely on bots and AI for decisions that affect lives

Offer proper support for Facebook Groups, which serve millions of UK communities

We also urge the UK Government and MPs to take action:

Investigate Meta’s treatment of UK users

Introduce legal protections for digital users' rights

Require platforms to provide real human appeals

Social media platforms should not operate above accountability. People deserve fairness, transparency, and the right to be heard.
