Negar Korkor, a tireless justice-seeker, passed away today after a long battle with cancer. Though she lived her final years abroad, her heart was never far from Iran—or from the pain her family endured.
Her brother, Mojahed Korkor, was unjustly sentenced to death. He was accused of being involved in the killing of Kian Pirfalak, a 9-year-old child shot during the uprising in Izeh.
But Kian's own family has always denied this accusation. They have repeatedly stated that the Islamic Republic’s security forces opened fire and killed Kian—not protesters, and certainly not Negar's brother.
Despite her illness, Negar dedicated the final chapter of her life to defending her brother and standing beside countless others whose lives hang in the balance. She was a voice for the imprisoned, the condemned, and the grieving families across Iran.
This petition continues in her name.
For her brother, Mojahed Korkor
For Kian
For every life destroyed by lies and bullets.
For truth. For justice. For Iran.
