As proud Newfoundland and Labradorians, we are deeply connected to our lands. These lands are not just ours; they are the birthright of future generations, inherited from our ancestors who fought to protect them. Today, we face a new challenge - wind farm developments.

These projects, such as those proposed by EVREC, claim to offer clean energy solutions. However, their arguments often dismiss valid criticisms. For instance, windmills have been proven to be detrimental to local bird and bat populations (source: National Audubon Society). Furthermore, they lack efficiency compared to other renewable energy sources (source: Energy Information Administration).

Additionally alarming is the production of ammonia associated with these projects. Ammonia is an extremely toxic substance that poses significant health risks if mishandled (source: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

We believe in preserving our land for future generations and maintaining its natural beauty. We believe in sustainable development that does not harm local wildlife or put our community at risk.
