As fans of the TV series Ghosts (2019) we are coming together to ask Baschea Walsh not be evicted from a home she has lived in for nearly two decades. While we appreciate the idea of a fandom themed holiday let, we do not want this to come from somebody losing their home. We feel ending the tenancy would be unjust, and while we understand this can be done by law we think it raises some ethical questions of how safe it is to rent in the UK. This petition is purely to ask that Baschea Walsh not be evicted, because as fans of the show we feel somebody's livelihood should not be uprooted for the chance of a fandom experience.

UPDATE: We would like to recognise that WHP also have other reasons unknown to us for wanting to revamp the buildings that Ms Walsh call home and we apologise for any upset we have caused as we did not intend this petition to be misleading in any way - hence the inclusion of the article below. While we believe Baschea Walsh should be able to stay in her home, but we also understand there are other reasons at play and simply wish Baschea the best going forward and hope she is able to stay within the community of West Horsley. 

It should also be noted that this has never been an us VS WHP situation. We care very much about the Trust and their mission and our only goal with this petition was to show our support for Miss Walsh. It was never our intention to shine WHP in a dim light, we are as ever so supportive of the house, the Trust, and its positive effects on the wider community of Horsley and Leatherhead; and indeed the wider reach of the Ghosts community they continue to uphold even after years of the shows end. We hope this update acts as an open letter of apology for any upset our petition may have caused, and also highlights how important WHP is to us. We empathise with Miss Walsh completely and we admit we acted without all of the facts, but still stand firm in our belief that she shouldn't be uprooted from her life and hope she can stay living in the local area. We would also like to take the time to thank those at WHP who have been supporting Ms Walsh and of course the local MP who has also been navigating this situation too. We are choosing to close this petition, as we understand there is more at play than what we understood but wish the very best for Miss Walsh going forward.
