Stop Ethiopia's Violation of Somalia's Territorial Integrity

Stop Ethiopia's Violation of Somalia's Territorial Integrity
The Issue
I am urgently appealing to the international community, as a deeply concerned individual, about the illegal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Ethiopia and Muse Bihi, leader of the breakaway region of Northern Somalia. This action is a blatant violation of Somalia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Ethiopia’s aggressive stance not only undermines the peace process in Somalia but also destabilizes an already fragile region. The signing of this MoU without the consent or knowledge of the Federal Government of Somalia is a clear infringement on its sovereignty.
The United Nations Charter (1945) clearly states that all member states must respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of all states. By signing this MoU with a breakaway region without consulting with or obtaining permission from the Federal Government, Ethiopia has violated these principles.
This situation demands immediate attention and resolution to prevent further escalation that could lead to conflict in an already volatile region. We implore global leaders and organizations to intervene in this matter promptly.
We urge you to sign this petition demanding respect for Somali sovereignty and calling for an immediate halt to any actions undermining it by foreign nations including Ethiopia. Your signature can help bring attention to this issue at international forums where it can be addressed effectively.
