Remarks on Elon Musk as He pertains to this Petition

Happy Saturday:

This petition is a response, in part, to the singular work of Tesla (and Elon Musk in particular) in the field of humanoid robotics. Using his name, obviously, results in his being chastised to no small extent - but to chastise this person any more than is necessary is counter-productive. He is cited here only because he embodies the momentum of this industry.

I admit - and have always admitted - that I don’t otherwise have an axe to grind against him (for what it is worth). It’s true also that I believe humanity needs people to innovate technologically and furthermore to use these innovations to help manifest visions for our future - which Mr Musk has certainly done, or attempted to do. 

HOWEVER - and to the point of this petition - our culture is unavoidably thrown into chaos as these incredible, modern innovations are revealed to the world (despite our apparently needing to have them to help us build our future). And the stabilizing of this chaos doesn’t in any way appear to be a function of the innovations themselves. Rather, each new wave of technology just seems to overlay on top of the other - and ends up leaving the least of us vulnerable to the ambitious few of us.  

The last point to be made about using my Mr Musk’s name in this petition is perhaps this one: the petition is meant to be a temporary and effective campaign to push these matters into the appropriate community forums. I fully hope to resolve this petition some day - and move on.
