Time For Direct Action

After creating this petition I saw that there were several others which had tens of thousands - to millions if signature, so I began promoting those which had momentum. But at this point I believe direct action is now needed. In the last couple days I've emailed the Electors, called the Attorney General, contacted elected officials and emailed President Obama. Please do what you can. Here is a link to email President Obama. I've also shared my message to him below. "Dear President Obama, Perhaps you have seen the groundswell of movements concerning the Electoral vote in light of the Russian intervention issue. Like you I lived through the Cold War years, and was actually on a plane flying over Eastern Europe when the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. I clearly remember the nihilistic and apprehensive feelings of the 1980s. I felt that "spirit" return on election day. I know in these days that power resides in networks and loyalty, but not necessarily human values. Anyone with eyes can now see the well organized coup which led to Trump. In hindsight there are red flags everywhere and while he was complaining of impending election rigging, the election was being rigged for him. He had people in all the right places at the right times. He's brilliant at deflecting and accusing opponents of the very thing he's guilty of, and we don't need overwhelming evidence to know that Russian influence did win the election. A simple lesson in psychology and 3rd grade math would lead one to that conclusion. But it’s the real story, that keeps me up at night. Anyone with some sense of insight and years can see handwriting. The oligarchs have played the long game for decades and will have near complete control in a month or so, right at the most critical time when we needed real progressive solutions to things like climate change and energy. Even rule of law and constitutional amending will be in their hands. I'm sure you know that we have a real serious issue on our hands, but can only say so much. Please do what you can with the Russian information and all the pieces we all see, to postpone or cancel the Electoral vote. Please do what you can through the networks still available to you, until we can gather enough momentum at a grass roots level to have a fighting chance. We know that republicans will be much less motivated once you're gone, and many doors will slam shut. And sir, thank you so very much for your service!
