I, personally, gave copies to the El Monte Union High School board members and then was able to speak about it as the El Monte Union Educators Association gave me time to address the board and district administration on this issue. Later in the meeting, Mr. Arellano, a parent of a student who attends the Adult Transition Center, was able to say a few words after making a donation to the district. He had some harsh criticism of the three board members. Also, he served Esthela de Siegrist with notification papers that a recall has been filed on behalf of voters!!! Now we have that ammunition to continue our fight to get the board to stop this vote and make sure the adult special education students get their rightful place of learning. So, please double your efforts to get as many people as you can to sign the petition. We need to keep the pressure on! Thank you everyone.
