Veteran Allied Health Services - The Math doesn't Math

DVA have announced that the $5k limit will make access easier. Increasing rates payable to providers will increase access. More money is being invested into veteran care.

But looking at the numbers.... Somethings a miss.

DVA 26-27 Portfolio Budget Statements show post the introduction of the $5k cap on July 2027, medical services provided by DVA (the Allied health line item) will reduce by $250M (combined across all 3 acts) and continue to fall over the remaining 3 years to $248M less than spent this financial year....  $992.3M this year, $744.1M in 29/30.
